Call for Donations for Our Fall Auction
What can I donate?
Here are some ideas base on items donated in the past that did really well:
- Donate items that will catch the attention of others: Power tool, lawn blower, lawnmower, toaster oven, tickets to a Minden Opera House event, Husker tickets, or ?
- Team up with someone(s) else to donate a larger ticket item: Snowblower, iPad or notebook, or ?
- Donate items that you may be ready to sell and that others would value: A road racing or an off-road bicycle, an antique, bedroom furniture that has been replaced, family furniture that is still in good shape, a dining room table, or ?
- Put together a special basket: Homemade candy, pies, pizza, or ?
- Simply give a donation of money to the ZMP
How and when can I donate?
You can donate anytime between now and October 9.
To donate, either call 308.832.1574 or email mindenefree@gmail.com, to let us know you want to donate and what you would like to donate. At that time we will give you instructions for what to do.
Here is an overview of what we will ask of you:
- To take a picture(s) of your donation
- Email the pictures to: mindenefree@gmail.com
- Hold on to your item(s) until after the auction. You will bring them to the Minden E. Free Church, 1310 West 1st in Minden, on December 4th or 5th.
If you need assistance taking pictures of your donated items, contact Frank Kovacs at 308-627-8147 (kovacsfa1@gmail.com) and he will help you.
The pick-up date for purchased items is December 8, from the above address.
Third Annual Zambian Fun Run
Let the Fun Run begin! We are excited to announce our third Zambian Fun Run. We will be having a fun run (5k) and 1 mile walk on June 4th, 2022. We will have a cool, fashionable T-shirt available to all who participate or simply want to order a shirt. Visit our Fun Run Registration page to sign up now!
For those non-runners, we will also have a 1 mile walk and a Free Will Donation Pancake Feed.
Please, make plans to join us and support our ZMP Orphan Care Center.
Pledge Drive – Update
Since Mid-April when we started our pledge drive and as of June 10th, we have raised $2575 in support for the ZMP Orphan Care Center for this year. Thank you so much to all of you who have pitched in with your generous support!

Thanks to your generosity we have raised $1850 of support for Active and our Zambian Mission Project Orphan Care Center for the coming year! If you haven’t been able to give yet we are still in big need of help to reach our goal $7200. Please, consider a monthly pledge of just $10 per month or more if you are able.

Dear Friends and Supporters,
We are in need of your help as we have hired a caretaker to oversee and begin to develop agriculture on our property in Zambia. His name is Active and he and his beautiful family have begun to help us develop the land for agriculture. This is a big move forward for us toward the establishment of our eagerly anticipated Orphan Care Center.
We need to raise $600 per month (Annual Support of $7200) to support Active and move forward the development of the land for setting up the Center.
Would you please consider pledging to give just $10 per month for the next year (That’s just about 33 cents per day) to help us pay our caretaker as he and his family continue to work on the Center project. If you can’t do this, please, consider giving a onetime gift to support the Center.
