New Building and Caretaker
We are very happy to be able to share with you the amazing progress that our Zambian board has made over the past 2 months. They have completed the beautiful new building which will be home to the new caretaker. Here is the new building as viewed from the water tower.
The new caretaker is name Active and wow does the name fit. He has done an incredible amount of work on the land already. Here is Active and his beautiful family. He has 2 children not pictured who are staying with grandparents to attend school.
Together, he and the Zambian board have cleared a significant area the old fashioned way, oxen yoked to a plow. They are preparing the ground for planting a garden. The pictures that follow give a feel for what these amazing guys have accomplished so far in the development of Zambia Mission Project’s Orphan Care Center. We will next be looking into installing an irrigation system for the garden.
