Wire Fence Around Land
Near the end of 2018 Christ Heart Transforming Ministries finished putting up a wire fence around the land near Lusaka West. The fence is preparation for our next projects of growing crops and building orphan houses.
Water 4 Zambia
After purchasing land in West Lusaka in 2017, Christ Heart Transforming Ministries International, our sister organization in Zambia, began planning the needs for the land.
The general plans for the land are to build an orphanage and eventually a school on the land. To start growth toward these goals, Christ Heart Transforming International felt the first and biggest need was water on the land. Water is used for consumption as well as growing crops for the future orphans to eat.
The need for water was communicated to Zambian Mission Project in September – October 2017. We decided that our goal was to have the funds raised by the end of 2017. It was quickly decided that Water bottles with labels saying, ‘Water 4 Zambia’ would be sold for $20 a piece before each worship service at the Minden Evangelical Free Church. We continued selling water bottles through the end of the year. Thanks to our donors, we were able to reach our goal of raising the funds before the end of the year.
In May of 2018, a well was dug on the land and a water tank and pump machine were installed. We cannot thank you donors enough for making this happen.
Land for Orphanage
Zambian Mission Project’s main goal is to raise funds for helping those who need help in Zambia. Obviously to build an orphanage we need land to build on. Step one was to purchase land for the orphanage.
Christ Heart Transforming Ministries International, our sister organization in Zambia, had been looking into 2 different pieces of land. A few different aspects were looked at when choosing which land plot to buy. Where is this plot located? What is the size of the land?
With the help of our donors, in September 2017, 15 acres of land that is located in Lusaka West was purchased. There is a small house on the land, that was purchased with the land. Thank you to our donors for making this possible.
